Today, to be far - Was pretty unproductive. I woke up late, to Clint's mumma standing over me, whispering in a cute voice "Jaymee, oh Jaymee", it scared me senseless! It scared me even more that the children were awake playing happily in Kaylees room, and that Brody had unlocked the back door for Nanny, it brought me comfort though, knowing that he had stood at the front door and asked "who is it". The back door has a window, so he could see Nanny through it. But I cannot believe I slept through him waking up and going into Kaylee =/ Naughty mumma moment!!
Sean came to work today. I got there and Clinton had already done the washing up. So Sean and I pottered and did random jobs that I wouldn't usually do, if I didn't have someone to delegate to (Hey! Don't judge! You'd do it too, if you were the boss!).
It was a slow day - money wise, but it went quick, so it wasn't tedious. Sean and I left work at 3:30pm, and I went to Bay Village, to do shopping for our BBQ tomorrow and to buy some random wedding things.
Then I came home after shopping and didn't do much more after that. lol.
See what I'm saying - VERY unproductive day.

Our Changes.
So I have changed my whole wedding approach at this stage. I am keeping this under wraps in terms of family etc, so hopefully the millions upon millions of people who can potentially be exposed to this blog, can keep a secret ;)
We didn't really have a "theme" as such before, just were going for an "elegant" aka "classic" aka "stuffy" kind of look. Which is nice, I was looking at stuff and thought it was beautiful - But ya know what? It's just not me! I don't know why I gravitated toward that before. A friend of mine inspired me, to explore my own mind and my own ideas, in terms of decorations and what JAYME likes in life - which may not end up being a "traditional" wedding - when it comes to decor - but it'll be MY wedding, mine and Clints which will reflect US as people and reflect our lives, our interests - everything WE love!
So without further ado, I introduce you to Jayme & Clintons:
Italian/French Boutique & antique Inspired Wedding
I LOVE shopping. My ideal job would be to be a BUYER for some type of department or clothing store. That way I could combine two of my passions - (With the exception of these beautiful people I call my family, of course) Shopping and making money. I love all types of beautiful things - I ESPECIALLY love vintage fashions - LOVE parasols, old fashioned cameras, big thick books, LOVE damask wallpapers and thick gold framed mirrors! Love pearls and lace! I love anything that has an antique or a foreign look. I LOVE vintage fashions - I have always been too self conscious to explore my interest in vintage fashions - but I am slowly emerging from my cage, to be the person I am inside. Clint loves vintage and classic cars - which is why we're having all old model Chevrolet cars, they're a mixture of turquoise/aqua colours. They're amazing. So, here are some of the inspirational pictures I have accumulated. I have also brought a few things for the wedding. It is a theme that I have NEVER known anyone to do before. So I am REALLY excited by the concept of having some crazy hat stands around the reception, some parasols, a lot of fairy lights, hat boxes, and lots of lace and pearls - thick rimmed mirrors. A whole lot of beautiful vintage boutique inspired decorations!
The first thing I changed was our cake. The bottom teir, where it is a "swirl" look will be changed to the "damask" decoration. The ribbon will be done with REAL ribbon. Ontop there will not be a bow - there will be our wedding flowers, some pearls and lace and our wedding topper.
I was looking for an example of what I wanted to do on either side of the entry/exit doors, I wanted to have some hat stands, with old fashioned hats and maybe some vintage coats hanging on them, with some lacy parasols, a long with a vase at each entry with pebbles in the bottom and parasols with different handles placed inside, with some nice lace and ribbons entwined with them.
The following are inspirational pictures for my centrepieces, I am going to take my favourite parts from each and try to mimic them. I am tossing up on whether or not to have each centrepiece absolutely identical, or have them similar, but a bit unique on each table..
I of course, wouldn't be having that abundance of birdcages. My intention still is to have the bird cages around the place, with the candles burning inside. The centre pieces are going to be placed on a mirrored dish.
I am going to have a "Dessert buffet", with fish bowls of cookies, lollies, I am going to have a cupcake tower, pavlova and cheese cake
I am going to buy a few of these signs with:
Beverages
Desserts
Gifts
Written on them, and have them on their appropriate tables.
These amazingly cute place card holders, will be holding the table numbers - that indicate to people which table they're meant to be seated at.
I would LOVE feedback on my ideas. I am amazingly excited about the ideas and the thoughts that are rushing through my mind. I am 100% more excited and more ready to organise and watch it all come together, than I was before. Before I was mostly excited about the fact that I was going to be spending the day before with my sisters, and that I was going to spend the night and the week after the wedding with my love and our best friends. But now I am also so excited about the actual wedding! I am excited to have something unique and special to us!

Venue.
This is the hall plan for our wedding venue. Very excited!! It's a beachside location, overlooking this beach:
When I started calculating the money, I became worried about my costs and my choices, but looking at this photo - I think we've made the 100% best decision in our venue. I think it will be incredible!!

Wedding Update.
I have been calculating how much we have spent & are going to spend on the wedding.
So far we have spent/spending: $12,821.
This includes:
Ceremony
Dress
My shoes
Servers
Our wine flutes
Reception Venue hire
Photography
Flower girl outfits
Hair
DJ
Catering
Wedding rings
I have yet to calculate/buy the following:
Flowers
Centrepieces
Cufflinks (I forgot to buy one set!!! Better get to Prouds ASAP!!)
Clintons suit
Clintons shoes
Cars
Bonbonierres (We have the boxes, but we haven't yet ordered the lollies for them!)
Soft drink/mixers for the reception
Materials for our cake
Hire equipment
Nails & tans
I am quite surprised Clinton hasn't even mentioned costs about the wedding, every time I try and talk to him about it, he just says "Whatever you want..." That opens up SO many doors!!!
Flowers, I am going to get on ebay as well as a florist, the bridesmaids are just going to have a soccerball bunch of white tulips, which I have found on ebay, so I am quite pleased with that. The centrepieces in the middle or bottom fish bowl are going to have floating teal/turquoise singapore orchids. I have already purchased the waterballs, I just want to go down to the florist and find out about them. My bouquet is going to be a soccerball white tulip bunch with teal/turquoise singapore orchids mixed through it. I am going to have white cascading singapore orchids on the ends of the pews in the church.
I am trying to envision what I want for the church, how I want the pews "decorated" I am unsure at this point in time, I am going to google potential decor and see if there's any particular styles that I like.
We are finalising our guest list this week, so we can get our catering finalised in the next month or two.

Wedding Update
I have found some bridesmaid dresses that I am more partial to than the ones I originally chose. So I am thinking of buying one, to see the quality. See what Clinton thinks of it though. I tried the dress on, that I had chosen (Cos I got one for quality control lol) and I think it looks REALLY "hippy" and seeing that my 4 bridesmaids are like me, and the fact that we're pretty "hippy" girls, I don't want to accentuate the fact that we do in fact have hips! lol.
I have found my honeymoon swimwear! A adorable one piece leopard print number! Absolutely amazing!
